Dorney Park 4.25.09 Update

Dorney Park opens for the 2009 season next Saturday! Before that, though, let's take a quick look at the construction of the Good Time Theatre.

Wow, it's bigger than I expected! The park's entrance plaza is just to the right of the structure but out of view in the photo. I didn't think this was a skyline changing addition, but it appears as though it is.

A different angle of the construction. You can see that they put up a steel frame and are now adding the walls to the structure.

This is the pre-fab component of the structure, these big wall pieces are shipped in on trucks so they go up super fast. There's still a lot more to do, but they've made quick progress so far.
